Ravens vs. Bengals Prediction

The Ravens have been outstanding this season, driven by a near-unstoppable offense thanks to MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson and their star running back, Derrick Henry.

Henry, a future Hall of Famer, has exceeded expectations making the Ravens’ offense a juggernaut. However, Baltimore’s Achilles heel has been its secondary. The Ravens rank dead last in the league, allowing a staggering 280.9 passing yards per game — a glaring weakness that comes from blown coverages, lack of pressure on the quarterback, and frequent miscommunications.

Enter the Bengals, who have finally shaken off a sluggish season start. Led by Joe Burrow, who’s been playing at an elite level, Cincinnati’s offense has started firing on all cylinders. Burrow ranks fourth in passing yards (2,244), second in passing touchdowns (20), and holds the second-highest QBR in the league. With the Ravens’ vulnerable secondary in his sights, Burrow is set for another high-octane performance. The last time these teams met, Burrow shredded the Ravens for 392 yards and five touchdowns on an impressive 30-39 passing, narrowly losing in a shootout decided by a field goal.

The Bengals will be without Tee Higgins, who’s doubtful with a quad injury, but Burrow’s connection with Ja’Marr Chase should be more than enough to keep the offense explosive. In their first matchup, Chase racked up 193 yards and two touchdowns, while Higgins contributed 83 yards and two touchdowns. Expect Chase to be Burrow’s go-to once again, and for Andrei Iosivas to step up as a supporting target against Baltimore’s shaky secondary.

Given the Ravens' offensive firepower and their struggling defense, this game has all the makings of another shootout. Baltimore’s inability to contain opposing pass attacks opens the door for Cincinnati to exploit their defense through Burrow’s precise passing game. The Bengals at +6 is an attractive play, as Baltimore has shown little capacity to shut down a high-powered aerial offense.

With the Bengals fighting to stay in playoff contention, look for both Burrow and Chase to have strong performances, each likely to hit their overs in this high-stakes divisional matchup.
