Charles Schwab Live Betting Pick: Can Scottie Scheffler Climb the Leaderboard at Colonial?

It’s been an up and down couple of weeks for Scottie Scheffler, who just recently just had his first child. He then went on to get “arrested” in Louisville during the PGA Championship. The craziest part is, with all this going on, Scottie still finished inside the top 10.

CHARLES SCHWAB CHALLENGE Prediction

After one of the worst rounds of his professional career on Saturday without his caddie (who was attending his child’s graduation), Scottie bounced back with an incredible -6 on the scorecard for Sunday’s final round. He showed incredible poise and made it interesting down the stretch…

Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer in the world right now, but he’s gotten off to a slow start in the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in his home state of Texas. After two early birdies to start out his tournament, he added two bogeys to the card on the front nine. At the time of writing this article, he is halfway done his first round and even on his first round. You can bet him around (+350) depending on where you look.

Although (+350) doesn’t sound like great value as he’s down four strokes to the leader. Right now, there are plenty of golfers ahead of him on the scoreboard. Even if Scottie is four or five strokes back heading into Friday, I still like his chances of making a comeback in his home state of Texas. A sprinkle on him to finish inside the Top-5 at (+100) is a solid look as well, with all the big names putting up solid first rounds.

As crazy as it sounds, Scottie actually had shorter odds pre-tournament. He was (+300) to win before they tee’d off on Thursday. Sprinkle some money on Scottie to finish inside the Top-5 and to win the Charles Schwab Challenge at (+350) or better odds. He’s going to be near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday making his charge like he’s done for weeks.
