Boston Bruins vs. New Jersey Devils Prediction
When this season started for New Jersey, a young talented Devils squad had early talks of being cup contenders and the team to beat this season. Now sitting at 14-11-1, they are not out of the race but they need to make some major changes on the back side of things. They are scoring the fourth most out out of any team in the league with a 3.52 GPG average however the Devils defensive woes remain ever prevalent.
In terms of GAA, they are the second worst team defensively in the entire National Hockey League with a 3.60 GAA. They can score, they just cannot keep other teams off the board and tonight against Boston, that is a recipe for goals. If New Jersey wants to win, they are likely going to have to outpace Boston; they score plenty and are rock solid on the back end.
They have not faced each other yet this season but Boston has taken three straight in the series and held New Jersey to one goal in each of the last two games. I expect Jack Hughes and the Devils to be fired up on home ice and try to battle here. The over is 10-2 at home for the Devils this season.
