Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction: Expect Nikita Kucherov, Lighting to Light the Lamp
The second game we are diving int tonight takes us up north to Alberta as the Tampa Bay Lightning visit the Edmonton Oilers for a showdown at Rogers Place and I am all sorts of amped up about this one.
Both of these teams are electric and loaded with star power, like Nikita Kucherov. They are two of the truly elite offensive teams in the league and have been for years now. I am buying in on the matchup and the head-to-head history between these squads and banking on them to light the lamp.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction
Edmonton has looked lethal since the coaching change and over their last eight games they have been something truly scary for anyone in their sights. They have scored less than four goals just one time in the last three weeks and are averaging 4.875 GPG over that stretch of time.
Not saying that their 3.47 GPG average (fifth best in the league) is not impressive for the season but they are playing truly incredible hockey right now and when big dogs collide, things tend to pop off.
Tampa Bay is not the dominant squad of years past but they still have super stars who can light up the lamp with ease. Coming off a 4-1 loss to Vancouver, I think the Bolts are ready to go early today, especially considering they know how Edmonton likes to do things.
If the Oilers score early, they want to score more and bury you. I think Tampa has the jump today and matches Edmontons energy. These teams met in Tampa Bay a month ago and scored ten goals, last time they were in Edmonton the Oilers won 5-3.
