Washington Capitals vs. Calgary Flames Betting Pick: Can TJ Oshie, Capitals Get It Done?
Small slate here on the ice this Monday but some solid spots to dive into and I want to start early. The Washington Capitals (32-25-9) are heading up north to Alberta, Canada for a clash with the Calgary Flames (33-29-5) at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Neither team is technically out of the wildcard hunt thus far but Calgary has a much tougher road to climb. On the flip side, Washington really has some momentum and if they can secure their playoff spot, they are a team no one wants to play.

WASHINGTON CAPITALS VS. CALGARY FLAMES PREDICTION
Washington dropped back-to-back games on the road against Winnipeg and Edmonton to start the road trip but rebounded nicely with 2-1 wins over the Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks. Now, Ovi and the boys are trying to end this road trip with another win here before heading home.
This team is not made up of a bunch of all stars like Florida or Colorado but they are playing well with veterans like Ovechkin, TJ Oshie, and Max Pacioretty leading the locker room. The vibes are strong and sometimes that's more important than raw talent on paper.
Washington net minder Charlie Lindgren is quietly having a great season. The Lakeville, Minnesota native is sporting a 2.61 GAA on the season with four shutouts and a save percentage north of .910. This month, he is 5-2-0 with a 1.73 GAA. I like the defensive efforts they have had lately to continue with more strong play between the pipes from Lindgren. Value on the road dog here tonight.
