Race 2 - PICK: Phat And Fast

- Eduardo Ramirez hasn't had Phat And Fast long, but the switch to his yard could prove the difference in getting this consistent colt over the line after a string of placed efforts. Patriot sets a good standard on his win two starts ago but needs to bounce back from a slightly disappointing effort last time

Race 3 - PICK: Past Visions

 - Past Visions sets a strong standard on his debut effort at this trip and drops in class significantly from his last start. Jimmy Winne is feared but has a long layoff to contend with and is unlikely to be cherry ripe for today

Race 4 - PICK: Gambler

- It's worth gambling that Gambler can make it back-to-back wins. The three-year-old colt won over six furlongs last time out at Fair Grounds and the drop back to five today is unlikely to be a hindrance

Race 5 - PICK: Porsumsugaronme

- 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' hit number 2 in the Billboard charts in 1988 and it's hoped that the equine namesake can go one better today in race five at Will Rogers Downs. The four-year-old has run two encouraging races to date and is open to more improvement than most of his rivals 

Race 6 - PICK: Smokin B

- Despite being a beaten favorite last time out, Smokin B arrives in good form which is more than can be said for most of his rivals. Beaten just half a length at Sam Houston Park just a couple of weeks ago, he can go one better this afternoon

Race 7 - PICK: Champagne's On Ice

- Roberto Diodoro has his runners in flying form at the moment and he can pick up this race with Champagne's On Ice. The drop in distance likely to suit this three-year-old. Tiger Treats could be a danger if he's above average on his debut

Race 8 - PICK: Handsome Traveler

- The one-mile trip stretched Handsome Traveler last time at Sam Houston and dropping back to six here can bring him back to winning ways 

Race 9 - PICK: Sheza Hot Flash

 - Sheza Hot Flash lacks the experience of the rest of the runners, but she impressed first time out on her debut here and there's no telling just how good she could be. She could be missed in the market and is worth playing at decent odds

Race 10 - PICK: Fusaichi Flame

 - The eight-year-old Fusaichi Flame defied odds of 40/1 first time out this season by finishing third at Delta Downs and if he can improve for that effort he'll take some stopping today. The Flame can add a thirteenth win to his resume
