One of the best kept secrets in racing is Larry Rivelli. Perennially one of the leading trainers at Arlington Park, Rivelli has expanded his stable to other tracks in recent years with great success. Whether it is dirt, all weather or turf, he can win at any time. Juju’s Specialgirl makes her first start for Rivelli, who wins at 25% with that move the past year. Juju’s Specialgirl is also making her first start since finishing second by a length on turf at Indiana Grand in October. Rivelli wins at 39% with horses coming off a layoff of six months or more the past year. Combining both stats, Rivelli is 2 for 6 the past five years, including a victory with Case Cracker at Arlington Park on July 31st. Mario Pino, the 10th leading rider all time in wins with 6,946 victories, picks up the mount.
Race 5 – Pick #6 Save the Drama (4-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
A veteran with a record of 40-7-8-4 at Presque Isle Downs, Save the Drama makes his local return for Shelly Radosevich. He prepped for this race with a turf race going longer at Mountaineer while making first start since October. With the return to his favorite surface and to a non-winner of a race in six months condition, Save the Drama should race on or close to the pace versus these and gain the victory.
Race 8 – Pick #1 Huntin’theholidays (9/2 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
There is plenty of speed in this race, so that should set things up well for Huntin’theholidays. He drops slightly in class as he fits in both the non-winners of two races in 2019-2020 condition and the non-winners of a race in a year condition. He finished well to be fourth this distance when making local return and switching to Israel Rodriguez, who is riding Presque Isle for the first time this year and has the look of a jock that will be successful once trainers get familiar with him. At post time he should be an overlay compared to his morning line.
