San Jose's debut fourth at Newbury wasn't without promise and the son of Blackbeard is entitled to step forward. That said, he faces some well-bred newcomers, with SHIMMERING SHADOW taken to come out on top. Out of a Listed-placed mare, the Crisfords' colt has plenty of speed in his pedigree that he can take full advantage of.
