With just one successful favourite in the last decade this looks tricky, but William Haggas has trained two of the last five winners and SCOVILLE could enhance that record. The Too Darn Hot gelding bounced back to form when landing a competitive handicap at Doncaster and appears to have another excellent chance from 4lb higher. Gavriel was a touch unlucky when fourth in the Cambridgeshire and is a serious adversary, as is Indalo, who was less than three lengths behind Gavriel at Newmarket. Others to note include Ebt's Guard, Jagged Edge and Classic.
