GAELIC DES CHASTYS makes some appeal on these terms with Patrick O'Brien's 5lb claim factored in. He has been competing off higher marks over fences and finished runner-up at Listowel in September. One of his two career victories came in a handicap hurdle at this track. There are plenty of other contenders, though. Le Fanu didn't appear to stay over further at Limerick, but has definite claims on his Listowel victory. The Ducks Walk is proven on good ground and was also successful on his penultimate outing at Gowran Park. Spanish John is another to bear in mind.
