India v England 2nd Test - Thursday 04:00, Sky Sports 2
A competent and fighting display from the tourists in Rajkot was a pleasant surprise, on a surface which wasn’t as typically subcontinental as some may have predicted. The second Test is being held at Visakhapatnam which is another newbie to Test cricket and the early predictions suggest a more traditionally Indian pitch. The home side have a record here to be wary of, only losing once in seven games and I expect them to kick into life by winning this game.
Continuing on records which give England something to think about, Virat Kohli’s averages 99.75 at this venue and looked in good nick in the first game before strangely treading on his own stumps. In my opinion he is by far the best batsmen on display and I am backing him to produce the goods by topping the Indian batting.
Understandably the spinners for both sides are favourites in their respective top bowler markets pushing Stuart Broad out to 6/1. He is capable of putting together magical spells of bowling and is yet to make an impact in the subcontinent this winter making him worth a small investment to top the England bowling.
