Norwich set to claim the bragging rights when Ipswich come to town.
Norwich v Ipswich – Sunday 12:00, Sky Sports
Ipswich have only lost once in their last five but three of these games were against bottom-six sides and they come up against a Norwich team that have found some form of late. The Canaries are W5-D2-L1 over their last eight, winning to nil in half of these, while they’ve also had two stalemates over 90 minutes with Chelsea in the FA Cup during this spell. Ipswich have scored more than once on just the single occasion in their last seven on their travels, against lowly Sunderland, and having lost four of five road trips to sides between 7th and 18th this term we’re backing Norwich to continue their good form.
Indeed, Norwich hold a good head-to-head record against Ipswich in recent times, winning four of seven unbeaten games against the Tractor Boys since 2014/15 including victory in the reverse fixture earlier this season. However, whilst Norwich have only once shut out the opposition in their last 10 at Carrow Road, with both teams scoring in eight of these games. The same has occurred in nine of Ipswich’s 15 road trips this term, with all four teams they’ve failed to score against being above Norwich in the table.
James Maddison is a striker in form with four goals in his last six appearances, with three of these the winning goal and three of them the last of the game. He also netted the only goal in the reverse fixture, and given his strike partner Nelson Oliveira is without a goal in eight games – despite starting all of these – Maddison looks like real value in the goalscorer markets.
