Osasuna v Real Sociedad - Saturday 17:15, Sky Sports 3
Osasuna marked their return to La Liga with a hard-fought point at Malaga thanks to former Arsenal man Fran Merida, who netted a late equaliser. Sociedad, meanwhile, were unable to lay a glove on Real Madrid at home despite the fact that Zidane was without Pepe, Modric, Ronaldo and Benzema, but they’ll hope to kick-start their season here.
Osasuna lost only three times at home last term in the Segunda, conceding just 14 times in their 21 games at El Sadar Stadium, with 11 clean sheets. Sociedad lost nine times on the road in 2015/16, while their record when travelling to promoted teams is just W0-D3-L6 since 2013/14 as they failed to score in four of these matches and trailed at the break in six.
With that in mind, it’s certainly worth taking on Sociedad here, especially with Osasuna buoyant after their excellent result in their opener, so we’re going to back the home win and are also going to have a punt on Osasuna being ahead at half-time and full-time and, finally, winning to nil.
