Sevilla v Real Betis - Tuesday 21:00, Sky Sports 2
Sevilla’s search for that elusive away win continued as they couldn’t hold on to a 1-0 lead against nine-man Eibar, while Betis were the ones coming from behind at Granada as they rescued a point after being 2-0 down in a game that also saw a couple of red cards. As a result, Betis are up to five points, trailing Sevilla in 4th by three.
As always, Sevilla will be glad to get back to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, where they’ve won 16 of their last 19, but kept just one clean sheet in their last seven. Indeed, they’ve already shipped five goals at home under the attacking Sampaoli, four of which came in that remarkable 6-4 win against Espanyol on the opening day of the season.
Betis were the lowest scorers in the division last term, despite finishing up in 10th, as they netted just 34 times. However, they’ve been in the goals this term, thanks largely to the form of veteran striker Ruben Castro, who’s netted four times already and is 3.1 to score anytime here.
Indeed, Betis have scored in nine of their last 10 on the road, but we expect them to be outgunned by Sampaoli’s side and so are backing Sevilla to Win and Both Teams to Score.
