Sheffield United v Peterborough - Saturday 15:00
As if Peterborough don’t already pack enough attacking threat, the arrival of George Moncur on a half-season loan from Barnsley gives them another dimension. From a game-management perspective, this could be the sort of challenging fixture that brings out the best of Grant McCann’s men. Take the 12/5 available on the away win.
Moncur netted twice on his first start against Port Vale last weekend but Posh somehow contrived to draw the game 2-2, just as they had done the weekend before against Swindon. These are routine home games they should be winning but don’t allow their profligacy at London Road to dissuade you of their capabilities at Bramall Lane.
Instead, take your cue from a thoroughly professional display at stadium:mk three weeks ago. Peterborough always have a couple of goals in them but when appropriately focused and suitably respectful of the opposition, it can amount to so much more. They were comfortable winners against MK Dons and the same 0-2 correct score has standout appeal at 20/1.
The Blades should be looking to break back into the top six this season but their shot data (45 per cent ratio) is some way short of those standards and home games have been problematic. Chris Wilder has no shortage of quality at his disposal but creativity and cohesion is something they have to chance upon by themselves. High expectation on home soil only makes them anxious.
