There is little separate these two sides so a stalemate could be on the cards.
Notts County v Crewe - Saturday 15:00
Notts County were booed off in midweek for a performance that John Sheridan admitted was probably their worst of the season. The Magpies fell two goals behind in their rearranged game at home to Morecambe, eventually going down 2-1, much to Sheridan’s dismay after he had called for a reaction to last weekend’s derby defeat at Mansfield.
Several League Two managers were in attendance at Meadow Lane, inlcuding Crewe boss Steve Davis, and the only saving grace for Notts is that they didn’t give too many of their best secrets away. Only in the final 20 minutes did they really begin to put the Shrimps under sort of sustained pressure and Sheridan is now demanding that his players start their home games in that manner.
Both teams have designs on promotion this season, realistically via the play-offs, and there’s little to separate them after 12 matches. Seventh-placed Crewe and ninth-placed County both have a zero goal differece and a shot ratio marginally short of 50 per cent, so the draw has most appeal at 27/10 with the hosts presumably high on determination but low on confidence.
Crewe gave arguably their best display of the season at Kenilworth Road last weekend but were unable to get the better of Luton, finishing all-square for the sixth time this season. Four of those stalemates have finished one-apiece and the 1-1 correct score at 13/2 is a worthwhile side bet.£10 FREE + Deposit £100 & Play With £200!
