DC United v New York Red Bulls - Sunday 20:00, Sky Sports 5
After a disastrous start to the season that saw them lose six of their opening seven games, the Red Bulls have since lost just three of their last 18 and are well-placed in 3rd in the Eastern Conference. DC, meanwhile, are down in 6th but do have a couple of games in hand and should they win those they’ll be right back in the thick of things.
DC have a mixed W5-D3-L4 record at home this season as they’ve failed to gain any real momentum having not won back-to-back home games yet; a sequence they’ll be keen to break here as they won their last match at home against Portland.
The Red Bulls have only won once on the road all season, a 7-0 mauling in the New York Derby and they’ve drawn four of their last five away, including 2-2 draws in each of their last three. As a result we’d certainly side with DC United Draw No Bet, particularly since influential central midfielder Dax McCarty is out for the visitors, who have lost three of the last five games their skipper’s missed.
