Seattle v Vancouver - Saturday 19:45, Sky Sports 3
Both these sides are struggling towards the bottom of the Western Conference and with games now running out they look unlikely to make the play-offs. Seattle certainly have the better chance of the two as they have a couple of games in hand on their visitors and are just two points behind them, but they’re still six points off Portland in 6th and as a result this looks like a must win for Sigi Schmid’s side.
After a three game spell on the road during which they picked up two points, Seattle return to CenturyLink Field where they’ve won three of their last four, including a 5-0 thrashing of league leaders Dallas. However, they’ll have to overcome a poor recent record against Vancouver if they’re to pick up the three points here as they’ve lost their last four at home to the Whitecaps and trailed at the break in each of these defeats.
Indeed, with key players Clint Dempsey and Brad Evans both doubts for the home side, we’re going to take them on at odd-on here and are backing Vancouver or Draw Double Chance. The Whitecaps won their last road game at Columbus Crew and also qualified for the knockout stages of the CONCACAF Champions League thanks to a 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City, their third win in their last five in all competitions in what’s been a dramatic improvement in their form.
