Toronto FC v New York Red Bulls - Sunday 22:00, Sky Sports 2
Toronto FC currently sit top of the Eastern Conference and third in the overall standings. They lost their latest home game 1-0 to Montreal but had won the five prior to that as their overall home record reads W7-D3-L2. Their success has been built on a solid defence, only conceding more than once in just one of these 12 matches.
New York Red Bulls are just two points behind Toronto in the Eastern conference table but it could’ve been so much better as they threw away a lead for the fifth time in their last nine matches when they let a 2-0 lead slip against DC United. They’re now unbeaten in 11, and although their W2-D6-L7 away record doesn’t make for pretty reading it’s worth noting that five of these defeats came in their first six road games.
It will be tough for Toronto to beat a Red Bull team that haven’t lost in a while and we think they’ll be happy to consolidate their position at the top of the table and be satisfied with a draw.
