Bournemouth v Man Utd - Sunday 13:30, Sky Sports 1
Jose Mourinho takes charge of his eighth club and having splashed the clash in the transfer window, expectations are high for his United side this season. He begins with a trip to Dean Court after Bournemouth impressed under Eddie Howe last term, defying injuries to key players to stay in the division.
The Cherries were marginally better on the road than they were at home last season, but they fared reasonably well when hosting the top teams, only losing half of their games against top-six finishers and managing to find the net in four of these. United, meanwhile, only managed seven away wins all season and won just two of their trips to the bottom-six.
With the majority of their players returning to fitness and some promising additions in the transfer window, including Jordan Ibe from Liverpool, Bournemouth will hope to kick on this season. United are undoubtedly stronger as well, but at their current odds they look worth taking on given they’ve won just four and drawn eight of 15 trips in the past two seasons when odds-on. We’re also going to back Callum Wilson to find the net. He netted five times in Bournemouth’s opening six games last season before suffering a long-term injury and he’ll be eager to hit the ground running and make up for lost time.
