Bologna v Cagliari - Sunday 11:30, BT Sport Europe
Bologna managed to survive their first season back in Serie A as they ended up 14th last term, but a heavy 5-1 defeat at Torino suggests they could have another battle for survival on their hands. That will certainly be the case for promoted Cagliari, who have only picked up a point so far, but it was an impressive one as they came from behind against Roma.
Bologna were in fact better on the road than they were at home last term as they only managed five home wins all season, but they did get off to a winning start in their opener at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara as they beat promoted Crotone. However, their home record against bottom-six sides was just W2-D1-L3 last term as they failed to score in half these games and with no obvious goalscorer being signed in the window that could be an area of concern for Donadoni once again.
Cagliari were in fact better on the road than at home when they were last in Serie A back in 2014/15 and they continued that record in Serie B as they won 10 of their road games. They’ve made some shrewd additions in the transfer window with the experienced centre back Bruno Alves and forward Marco Borriello being snapped up and with that in mind we’re backing Cagliari or Draw Double Chance in the hope that they continue to be strong travellers and cause Bologna more problems at home.
