Juventus v Cagliari – Wednesday 19:45, BT Sport Europe
Juventus slumped to their first defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-1 at Inter, with big money summer signing Higuain controversially left out of the starting line-up. Promoted Cagliari, conversely, picked up their first win of the campaign at home to Atalanta, to go with a draw against Roma in their other home game. Worryingly though they’ve lost both their road games so far at Genoa and Bologna.
Whilst they’ve now lost two of their last three on the road, Juve have won their last 18 at home, with 11 clean sheets in the last 13, while they also led at the break in the last eight. Their record when hosting bottom-six sides is W9-D2-L1 since 2014/15 as they were ahead at half-time in each of their wins, while eight were without conceding.
Despite winning Serie B last term, Cagliari could only manage wins in 10 of their 21 road games and lost three of their four trips to fellow top-five sides. With the start they’ve had to the season on the road, there’s every chance they could be well beaten by a scorned Old Lady that’ll be keen to get back to winning ways after the defeat at the San Siro.
