The 2,000 Guineas winner Coroebus has declared for the St James's Palace Stakes. The three-year-old has had an impressive career to date with a three wins from four, including the 2,000 Guineas win on his last outing. 

He is the current favourite to the St James's Palace Stakes at Ascot on Tuesday.  

Seven declared for the Queen Anne Stakes

Pied Piper to run at Ascot

Trainer Gordon Elliot has confirmed his intention to run Pied Piper at Royal Ascot next week:

"The plan is to run in the Ascot Stakes and we're looking forward to running him."

"He didn't do much wrong over hurdles last season and this will be his first run on the flat since joining us, he seems in good form."

Elliot has booked Jamie Spencer for the ride and the four-year-old has been cut to as short as 3/1 in places since the news despite still being a best price of 6/1 for the Ascot Stakes elsewhere.

Ryan Moore is the current odds on favourite to be top jockey at Royal Ascot at odds of 10/11 although he can be found at 7/4 elsewhere.

"Given the latter got back to winning ways in the Irish equivalent and gave the form a tidy boost, it’s no surprise to see the former being backed as if defeat is out of the question but he will be up against some really high-class horses and I don’t think he’s as bombproof as the betting indicates."
