Gordon Elliott's Cheltenham winner Cause Of Causes has been cut from 33/1 to as short as 14/1 for April's Grand National off the back of his performance in Wednesday's Cross Country Chase. His victory over stablemate Bless The Wings was his third successive victory at the Festival and could have connections dreaming of adding the Grand National to that list.
The JP McManus-owned gelding is currently 24th on the list of entries and has been allocated a handy racing weight of 10-12 for the Aintree showpiece and is now towards the top of the market with a number of bookmakers.
