Rory Jiwani fancies Robin Haase at decent odds against Jack Sock today.
This weather isn’t helping my mood and nor are my bets. Adrian Mannarino actually looked pretty assured in the first set until he fell apart when serving to stay in it against Novak Djokovic. And Tsvetana Pironkova was well below her best against Belinda Bencic.
Anyway, plough on we must and I am hoping we can get going with a battle of two big servers. Gilles Muller came through an epic in the first round and now faces Andrey Kuznetsov who was also taken to five sets. There should be at least one tiebreak in this one, and we’ll hope there’s one in the opening set.
I am surprised to see Robin Haase quite so big a price against Jack Sock. The American won in five sets when they met last month at Roland Garros but Haase is a very decent player on grass and I’d give him a chance of winning this. I’m having a small play on the Dutchman to win and a bigger play on him +1.5 sets on the handicap.
