Reality TV betting expert Tim Booth previews the first eviction in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Kristina Rihanoff should be well known to fans of reality TV as a former professional on Strictly Come Dancing, on which she performed for the last eight years. The eviction market has her very safe at 12/1, and I would have to agree. Her coverage on the show so far has been very positive. There was no mention of her romance with Ben Cohen in her launch night VT, which came as a surprise, as you might have thought producers would have revelled in the controversy of the couple being affected by the "Strictly curse". Kristina announced to her housemates that she recently found out she’s pregnant, which will be shown to viewers during tonight’s eviction show, and can only be a positive for her. For these reasons, I think she’ll be topping tonight’s vote.

Next in the eviction betting comes Nancy Dell’Ollio at 6/1. Nancy was left until last by producers to be unveiled on Tuesday night’s launch show, which was a bit of a perplexing decision, as she is a relative nobody compared to some of her housemates. Of course, Nancy is best known to viewers for her high-profile relationship to Sven Goran-Erikkson, the former England football manager. Like Kristina, Nancy also has been portrayed positively in the edit thus far, although we have only seen three shows and so not much yet has happened. Being a wealthy and foreign high-class socialite of a certain age, she doesn’t have the sort of profile that tends to do well. The outright market agrees, currently placing her as high as 50/1 to win. However, with the competition she’s facing in this eviction (i.e.) Winston, she should be safe enough.
In just three days, Winston McKenzie’s coverage on CBB has been an absolute car crash. The former UKIP candidate’s opening VT was easily the worst of the lot, where the producers were happy to show him expressing grossly despicable views about gay people. Of course, the producers knew what they were doing by casting Winston on the show and portraying him in this way - controversy was what they were after, and boy, has it materialised! In Thursday night’s crucial highlights show, he was also shown as leering over the women - namely Tiffany and Nancy - from his bed, which has to be the final nail in his eviction coffin, if he even requires one. Unfortunately, the market recognises that he’s extremely likely to be evicted, and at deserving odds of 1/10 to go, no one is going to get rich by backing him. Still, it seems like free money for those willing to back at such a short price.
