Indiana Pacers @ Boston Celtics - Wednesday 23:30, BT Sport 2

Boston Celtics have already clinched a playoff spot and can boost their chances of finishing at the top of the Eastern Conference with a win over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.

Boston, who are two games behind champions Cleveland Cavaliers in first place, have lost just once in their last 12 games at TD Garden and boast a home record of 25-9 over the course of the season.

The Pacers themselves are on course for a place in the postseason party in sixth spot but away from Bankers Life Fieldhouse they’ve been less impressive. Indiana would be 12th in the Eastern Conference if only away results counted and head to Boston seeking to snap a four-game losing streak on the road.

Indiana were beaten 116-91 at Toronto Raptors at the weekend in their last away game, and recent losses at New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Hornets do little to suggest they can derail the Celtics’ bid to take the number one seed in the East.

Boston’s only defeat at TD Garden since January came at the hands of Atlanta Hawks as Isaiah Thomas failed to register 20 points in a game for just the second time this season. Since that loss the Celtics star man has been back in incredible form, racking up 105 points in total in their following four matches in Boston.

The Celtics have already beaten Indiana away twice this season and with home court advantage they can secure a convincing victory this evening. Boston have won by at least eight points in their last three home games so back the hosts to overcome the -7.5 line on the points spread.
