Golden State Warriors @ Portland Trail Blazers Betting Tips & Preview

Golden State lead Portland 3-0 ahead of Game 4 at the Moda Center and they should be able to secure a series win without having to head back to Oakland. The Warriors brushed Portland aside in the first two games at the Oracle Arena, outscoring the Blazers by 41 points over the two games.

Portland did mount a fight back in Game 3 as the series headed to Oregon but ultimately their efforts were in vain.  The Blazers held a lead going into the fourth quarter but the Championship favourites responded to claim a six point victory and that loss, and the manner of the defeat, may well have taken the remaining fight out of the hosts ahead of the next meeting.

GSW have won all of the previous 10 meetings between the two sides and five of those wins have been by at least an eight point margin.  Portland have fared a bit better in their home matches against Steph Curry and co but as the Warriors already have a 3-0 series lead and claimed a 23-point win at the Moda Center in the regular season in they can finish their first round assignment in style in Game 4.

The point spread is set at -7 for the Warriors later but the visitors can win with more room to spare.  Golden State know how to kill off a series, last year’s Finals aside, having claimed big wins in their final games in the first round and Conference Finals last season.

Portland rarely take a beating but if the Warriors build up any kind of lead there is a chance the game could really slip away from the Blazers. With that in mind the 9/5 on offer for a Golden State win with a -11.5 handicap in the point spread looks the way to go in Game 4.
