Gareth Freeman has two bets for tonight's live NBA semi-final at TD Garden.
Washington Wizards @ Boston Celtics - Thursday 01:00 BT Sport 1
Boston Celtics host Washington Wizards in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semi-finals series on Wednesday as one of the most intriguing match-ups of the postseason continues.
“We don't like them, they don't like us,” said Celtics talisman Isaiah Thomas after Game 3 and that rivalry - which has threatened to boil over at points across the four games to date – has defined the series.
Another key factor has been the strength of Washington and Boston at home with the two tied at 2-2 going into Game 5, as both teams have won their respective home fixtures in a repeat of their 2-2 regular season series.
Two of the final three games, if required, will take place in Boston and as such the Wizards need to find a way to win on the road if they are to move through to progress to the Conference Finals, where champions Cleveland Cavaliers await after sweeping Toronto Raptors.
Washington did come close in Game 2 as they forced the Celtics into overtime, thanks largely to a 40-point haul from John Wall, but ultimately Boston found a way to grab the win. The Wizards head into Game 5 on the back of two big wins at the Verizon Center, outscoring their opponents by 46 points in total.
Washington seized the initiative in Games 3 and 4 but a record of 1-4 on the road so far in the postseason, after going 19-22 on their travels in the regular season, does little to encourage backing the Wizards to win outright.
However, Boston have looked a little shaky at TD Garden in the playoffs after losing twice against Chicago Bulls in their first round test. Washington also have the momentum and with the point spread set at +4.5 for the visitors they can beat that handicap.
The Wizards have held a first quarter lead in three of the four games so far, including both at TD Garden, and at odds against it is also worth backing Washington in the first quarter draw no bet market.
