Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings - Monday 01:30, Sky Sports 1
A season ending injury to starting Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threatened to derail what many thought was going to be a very good season for the Minnesota Vikings. This injury led to a trade with the Eagles for QB Sam Bradford but he didn't start last week against the Texans as Shaun Hill's knowledge of the playbook saw him get the nod. It remains to be seen who head coach Mike Zimmer chooses to go with this week and he has said he won't announce the starter until Sunday.
Hill didn't throw any interceptions as the Vikings shook off an early Titans lead to eventually win 25-16 in Tennessee but we expect Bradford to start Sunday. This week they are at home to the Green Bay Packers in their brand new stadium, NFL teams have since 2008, some may say surprisingly poor record in their new stadium openers with a win loss record of 1-4.
The cheeseheads of Green Bay opened up with a 27-23 win in Jacksonville last week and at the time of writing they are one of the favourites to win the Superbowl mainly due to having superstar Aaron Rodgers at the QB position.
Despite Rodgers’ quality he is up against a very good Vikings defence and coach Zimmer will have a plan for him after facing him twice last season. Packers run defence did well last week but Adrian Peterson is a different animal and we fancy him to lead the Vikings to a win.
