Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears - Tuesday 01:30, Sky Sports 1
Monday night football heads to Soldier Field and the windy city of Chicago in week two as the Bears host the Philadelphia Eagles. There were mixed fortunes for these teams in week one as the Eagles beat the Cleveland Browns 29-10 and the Bears lost 23-14 to the Texans down in Houston.
Both teams were and are expected to struggle this year and as I write this you can still back both the sides at 100/1 or bigger for the Superbowl. The Bears only won one of their home games last year and if they are to get anywhere near the playoffs this time round, will need to make sure they are beating teams like the Eagles on home territory.
Despite the poor home record 2015 was head coach John Fox’s first year in Chicago and they showed flashes of form on the road, winning five matches including at tough places like Green Bay and Kansas.
After trading Sam Bradford to the Vikings the Eagles have a new starting QB in rookie Carson Wentz and he impressed many in the opening day win against the Browns, throwing for nearly 300 yards and two touchdowns. That said there have been many impressive first game rookie performances from QB's and it remains to be seen whether he builds on that or follows the road of the likes of Jamarcus Russell.
We like over the points total here with some good receivers like Jeffrey of the Bears and Matthews of the Eagles on display, MNF fans should be in for an enjoyable match.
