2023 NFL First-Round Mock Draft

1. Texans: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State

I'm not sure which team will have the first overall selection, but at least this year we have a consensus first pick. And it's a quarterback. It'll be Ohio State's C.J. Stroud. The Texans can't live with Davis Mills under center if they want to make the postseason.

2. Falcons: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

The Falcons are going to be in need of a quarterback after Matt Ryan departed from the team. Young is the next best quarterback talent on the board. He could overtake Stroud eventually this season. But at this point, I'll stick with Stroud at number one.

3. Seahawks: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky,

Because the Seahawks are drafting here, I'll take Levis with the third pick. He's another quarterback in the SEC. Levis went from Penn State to Kentucky and then became a star. He's expected to do big things this year with the Wildcats. We'll see if he does enough to be a top-three pick.

4. Bears: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

Smith-Njigba is gong to catch a ton of passes from C.J. Stroud this season. He'll be the first wide out off the board and the Bears are in need of someone who can catch balls from Justin Fields. This would be a huge get.

5. Jets: Will Anderson, EDGE, Alabama

The Jets can really sure up their defense with Anderson. He's projected to be the best defensive player available and could land at five to the Jets.

6. Lions: Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU

7. Jaguars: Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson

8: Panthers: Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia

9. Giants: Eli Ricks, CB Alabama

10: Commanders: Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State

Washington needs help in many areas but if they ever want a quarterback to be successful, they're going to have to sure up this offensive line.

11. Steelers: Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern

12. Eagles: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia

13. Vikings: Bryan Bresee, DL, Clemson

14. Texans: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

15. Noah Sewell, LB, Oregon

16. Dolphins: Forfeited

17: Patriots: Jordan Addison, WR, USC

Addison is a sleeper at the wide receiver position. He could end up producing the same type of stats as Smith-Njigba and Boutte. This would be a great pick for the Patriots who need to get a legitimate threat at receiver for Mac Jones.

18. Titans: BJ Ojulari, EDGE, LSU

19. Eagles: Trenton Simpson, LB Clemson

20. Ravens: Isaiah Foskey, EDGE, Notre Dame

The Ravens can never go wrong with a dominant edge rusher in the AFC North.

21. Cardinals: Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia

22. Seahawks: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State

23. Chargers: Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame

24. Dolphins: Antonio Johnson, S, Texas A&M

25. Colts: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

26. Cowboys: Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina

27: Bengals: Jordan Battle, S, Alabama

28: Lions: Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU

29: Packers: Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina

30. Chiefs: Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia

31. Buccaneers: Gervon Dexter, DL, Florida

32. Bills: Henry To'oTo'o, LB, Alabama
