The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs gets underway this Saturday when the Chiefs take on the Jaguars from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The point spread is currently at 8.5 points in favor of Kansas City. The Chiefs are the largest favorites of any Divisional Round game this weekend.

According to our friends at DraftKings, the public is backing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to cover with 57% of bets on the Chiefs currently. Back in Week 10, the Chiefs defeated the Jags 27-17 and had a comfortable lead the entire game.

The Super Bowl favorite Chiefs have had plenty of time to rest and prepare. Andy Reid owns a 27-4 record coming off a week in which he had two weeks to prepare. The Chiefs have an implied team total of over 30 points which is an easy reason the public is running to the window to back them. The Jaguars have the 24th overall defense meanwhile, the Chiefs have the number one overall offense. It will be challenging for the Jaguars to slow down Mahomes and company this Saturday afternoon.

The Jaguars own all of the momentum coming into this game. They managed the third-greatest comeback in NFL playoff history when they erased a 27-point deficit to defeat the Chargers in the Wild Card. Trevor Lawrence and the young Jaguars core is coming into this matchup with nothing to lose. The pressure falls on the number one-seed Chiefs. The Chiefs moneyline odds are (-435) or an implied 81% chance they will win and advance to play the winner of the Bills vs. Bengals matchup. This will be a great battle to decide who will play for the AFC Championship next Sunday.

Jacksonville has eight outright wins this season as an underdog! That is tied for the most ever in a season. I believe they keep this game within reach early, but the Chiefs, in the end, will prove to be too explosive on offense, and they will advance to play in their fifth straight AFC title game!
