2023 NFL Power Rankings: Ranking All 32 Teams Heading into Week 1
The NFL will begin on Thursday night!
There were so many changes throughout the offseason and during the NFL Draft.
So, where does each team stand entering Week 1?
Check out our power rankings in the NFL as we approach Week 1.
2023 NFL Power Rankings
1. Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs have been to three of the last five Super Bowls. They've also won two of those five behind QB Patrick Mahomes and HC Andy Reid.
The secondary could be weak, and the pass rush without Chris Jones will be worse. But the offense always finds a way.
2. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals always give the Chiefs a run for their money. They're the second-best team as long as Joe Burrow is healthy.
3. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles did a lot of shuffling after last year's NFC Championship team. The offense is still a juggernaut. It's just that their strength of schedule isn't very easy this year.
4. Buffalo Bills
The Bills have owned the AFC East for a while. But with the Jets and Dolphins improving, the Bills will have a tough time holding the division any longer.
5. New York Jets
It feels like Aaron Rodgers will stay with the Jets for years. He's enjoying his time in New York and starting to appreciate the game again. The Jets are built to win now and have the most hype since Joe Namath.
6. Miami Dolphins
Miami's success will rely heavily on Tua Tagovailoa's health. Tagovailoa has proven that he can be a passer in the NFL. He also made many significant decisions last year and has a ton of great playmakers around him, including Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
The Dolphins are serious threats if everyone stays healthy and out of trouble.
7. San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers never look incredible on paper. But they're competing in a division with the Arizona Cardinals and Las Angeles Rams. The 49ers should dominate those teams and be better than Seattle this year.
8. Baltimore Ravens
This is the year where the Ravens' offense starts to progress. Lamar Jackson will likely throw the ball more, and with Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr. in the mix at wideout, the Ravens could be a special team this year.
9. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys will likely start the season strong. The more challenging portion of the schedule isn't until later in the season. That'll help them stay above the Top 10 in the Power Rankings.
10. Detroit Lions
The Lions were one of the best NFL teams last year... if you look at the second half of the season. The secondary had its issues last year. We'll see if the Lions' moves in the offseason will fix those issues.
However, the offense should be incredible, especially with the new addition of Jahmyr Gibbs.
11. Jacksonville Jaguars
12. Seattle Seahawks
13. Los Angeles Chargers
14. New York Giants
The Giants might be a one-star receiver away from being a legitimate contender in the NFC. Could that receiver be Mike Evans?
It's possible. Daniel Jones took a pay cut to help the Giants with their salary cap. We can start to make assumptions!
15. Minnesota Vikings
16. Denver Broncos
17: Cleveland Browns
18. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers rarely have losing seasons. QB Kenny Pickett should develop even more in Year 2 and could lead Pittsburgh into the playoffs as a Wild Card team.
19. New England Patriots
20. New Orleans Saints
21. Green Bay Packers
22. Chicago Bears
23. Washington Commanders
Ron Rivera told the media he wished he knew how good Sam Howell was earlier last year. By Rivera not playing Howell, the Commanders missed the chance at making the playoffs.
Howell could push Washington to new heights once Terry McLaurin returns from his injury.
24. Las Vegas Raiders
25. Atlanta Falcons
26. Tennessee Titans
27. Indianapolis Colts
28. Los Angeles Rams
29. Houston Texans
30. Carolina Panthers
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
32. Arizona Cardinals
The tank is on for Caleb Williams.
