The Yankees and Reds meet for a three-game series from Yankee Stadium tonight in the Bronx. The Yankees are 3–7 over their last ten games, but they are coming home off a road trip and have been much better in Yankee Stadium this season, posting a 24–14 record at home.
The Yankees are still in second place in the AL East, despite having one more win than the Orioles, as they have two more games played. The Reds will continue their road trip with this series and are now 39–45 after going 4–6 over the last 10 games, which puts them in fourth place in the NL Central. What should we expect in tonight‘s game from the Bronx?

CINCINNATI REDS VS. NEW YORK YANKEES PREDICTION
The player I’m looking at in this game is New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice. Rice is a rookie who stepped up in the absence of Anthony Rizzo while he is injured, and Rice has made a lasting first impression in his place. Rice is hitting .273 over his first 12 games with more walks than he has strikeouts. The impressive rookie was thrown into the bright lights and has posted some pretty good numbers, which should continue against Graham Ashcraft today. The Reds will send out Graham Ashcraft against the Yankees tonight. One distinct advantage for Ben Rice in this matchup is that he is a left-handed hitter. Ashcraft has been much worse against left-handed batters this year, giving up a .298 batting average and .830 OPS to left-handed hitters compared to a .274 batting average and .789 OPS to right-handed batters. He has given up seven of his 11 overall home runs to left-handed hitters despite having 15 fewer at-bats against lefties.
Ben Rice is hitting .381 against right-handed pitchers this year to open up his career. He also only has a 3.7 strikeout percentage against right-handed pitchers so far, which is extremely impressive. His batting average against right-handed pitchers is second on the team in the last two weeks behind Aaron Judge. because of this, I’m backing Ben to go over 1.5 hits+runs+RBIs tonight, as he is in a good spot in a lineup behind some talented hitters who should be able to hit off Ashcraft and get on base. I could easily see Rice knocking in a run with a hit or getting on early in an inning and using his speed to get around and score. This has plenty of value at plus money and should come through for us tonight against a pitcher who has been below average.
