This bet looks more intimidating than it is. Murray has only hit this in three of nine games played this season, but when you take a deeper dive, this one has value.
Murray will be playing without Trae Young. Most people will then go to his assists because he will take over the primary passing duties. I think that’s a fine assessment, but I like him to score tonight. As a Hawk, we have seen Murray play without Trae in seven games, and he has hit this over in five of those.
Murray is averaging 25.3 points per game as a Hawk without Trae. He also gets a dream matchup against Detroit tonight. Point guards against the Pistons have been feasting all year. Detroit has allowed the 3rd most points to the point guard position, and they will be without Jalen Duren protecting the paint, so Murray should have an easier time finishing at the basket.
The game spread is relatively close so assuming Dejounte stays out foul trouble I expect 35+ minutes of high usage play.
