Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction
Houston will be on a back-to-back after losing a heartbreaker last night vs. the Lakers.
The Rockets got off to a rough start, but they have been playing good basketball as of late.
The Rockets had ripped off six consecutive wins before losing a couple of close games vs. the Clippers and Lakers.
Houston was active in the off-season, adding veteran talent to their roster.
Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks inked max contracts.
At the time, a lot of people were critical of Brooks' singing, but early in the year, he has been great on defense, and is adding 13.7 points per game.
Big man Alperen Sengun leads the Rockets in scoring. Sengun is averaging a team-best 20.1 points per game and a team-best 8.4 rebounds.
Shooting guard Jalen Green is off to a strong start this season. Green is scoring 18.2 points per game and 2.9 assists.
The Rockets offense ranks 27th in points per game (109.4).
The Warriors will look to snap their six-game losing streak on Monday night.
The losing streak has pushed the Warrior's record to 6-8.
It is early in the season, but this feels like an important game for the Warriors.
Steph Curry is not the guy to blame. The future Hall of Famer is averaging a team-best 30.3 points per game.
The Warriors will be without their defensive anchor, Draymond Green, who continues to serve a suspension.
Klay Thompson has had a tough time shooting at times this season, averaging 14.0 points per game, which ranks second on the Warriors.
The Warriors offense ranks 13th in points per game (113.4).
Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors Pick
This line is too good not to take a swing at.
Thompson's shooting stroke has not been as good as we are accustomed to seeing, but from a volume standpoint, this is a must-play. Thompson is the team's second scoring option, second in minutes played with 29.2 per game.
Thompson is shooting the ball anywhere from 12-18 times per game.
Additionally, Thompson will shoot most of his attempts from three, and if he heats up, this could cash in the first half.
