Milwaukee Bucks vs. Washington Wizards Prediction: Can Khris Middleton Put Up Points Tonight?

The 9-4 Milwaukee Bucks travel to DC tonight to take on the 2-10 Washington Wizards. Not much has gone right for the Wizards this season, but one thing is for sure: they love being in high-scoring games. The total for this one tonight is 246, which is the highest total on the board tonight by far. A higher total likely means more scoring, which is why I have honed in on the player prop I love for tonight.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Washington Wizards Prediction

The Wizards rank second overall in the NBA in pace. The Bucks rank sixth. The Wizards also rank 25th in defensive efficiency, so I think you can see why the total is so high for tonight's game. In that case, I love Khris Middleton to get it going tonight.

Khris Middleton has missed some time early this season with a knee injury, and he has played in ten of the Buck's 13 games. Middleton has also been mostly limited in his minutes in his games played, playing under 20 minutes in the first three games of the season and only slightly above 20 since then. However, he logged his highest minutes in the last game against the Hornets with 22. With Middleton slowly getting healthier, his scoring average should go up as well, which has been at 11.4 on the season. His line tonight is 11.5 points.

With his usage starting to get closer to normal, Middleton has surpassed 11.5 points in five of his last seven games. When Middleton is healthy, he is one of the main scorers on this offense. He led the team with 23.8 points per game last season, so we know his ceiling is very high. 11.5 points is his floor, and it is only this low because of his limited minutes and injury management, but that is increasing as he works into the season. Even then, he is hitting over this line pretty consistently over the last two weeks. Getting this low of a number on the leading scorer from last season, who is getting healthier, feels like a steal, especially in a fast-paced game expected to hit near 250 points.
