San Jose State vs. North Dakota State Prediction: Can Boden Skunberg, Bison Get Even in Rematch?
The North Dakota State Bison will face off against the San Jose State Spartans on Monday evening after playing once already this season. Can Boden Skunberg and the Bison get even after a loss last week? Krabs breaks down his sharp selection of the day in SJSU vs. NDSU.

After an elite weekend of sports, Monday’s slate isn’t looking as juicy. That doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made. Let’s dive into my favorite college basketball play of the day...

San Jose State vs. North Dakota State Prediction
There aren’t many college basketball games on the slate, but there’s one that caught my eye. San Jose State takes on North Dakota State at the Scheels Center in Fargo. These two teams played each other last week. The Spartans shot 46% from three in that contest, beating the Bison by 13 points at home.
Fast forward to a week later and the Bison are now -2.5 on the spread after opening up an underdog. Anyone else think it’s a little weird seeing NDSU catching steam on the spread after losing by 13 to the same opponent last week? I definitely do, especially considering the Bison are ranked #240 in KenPom, and SJSU is ranked #149.
Oddsmakers are clearly expecting a bounce-back performance from the Bison in this spot. They have no business being the betting favorite after losing to the same opponent by double digits last week. To be fair, I’d be shocked if the Spartans shoot 46% from three on the road in Fargo, one of the tougher mid-major arenas in the country.
The Bison have been one of the better mid-majors over the last decade or so. They might not have their best roster this season, but they’ve still defended their home floor well, winning both games in Fargo this season.
I’m willing to bet SJSU won’t shoot as well from deep as they did at home last week against the Bison. This team ranks around 100th in the country in three-point percentage this season, hovering around 35% from deep. The Spartans got lucky last week, shooting way better than their expected production. This SJSU team will look completely different on the road tonight as they face a Bison team that hasn’t played a game since their loss to the Spartans. You don’t think they’ve been waiting for their revenge?
Bet the Bison on the moneyline tonight. In a game with a relatively low total, I feel more comfortable laying the moneyline here in what could be a low-scoring affair. The Bison are going to win this game with their defense. These are two of the slowest teams in the country when it comes to tempo. Don’t expect the Spartan to shoot close to 50% from deep like they did last week.
