College football might be over, but have no fear: college basketball is here! If you haven’t been tailing my CBB plays, or simply just haven’t been betting the sport at all, today is a great day to hop in. The slate today might be the best one we’ve seen all year. Here are a few of my favorite plays on the first Super Tuesday of the year…
Indiana vs. Rutgers Prediction
The Hoosiers are coming off an impressive win against Ohio State as underdogs, but we know what happens to Indiana when they leave Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers are a completely different team on the road than at home, and they will have their hands full tonight as they travel to Jersey Mike’s Arena to battle it out with Rutgers.
Rutgers has lost three of their last four, but much like their opponent tonight, they play much better at home. Rutgers is 7-1 at home this season, and will make it 8-1 when they catch an Indiana team sleeping after a big win. Rutgers has the size to hang with Kel’el Ware in the paint, and the Scarlet Knights will be the more motivated team after two straight losses.

South Carolina vs. Alabama Prediction
The South Carolina Gamecocks have been one of the more surprising stories of the season, sitting at 13-1. The same could be said about Alabama and how poorly they’ve played to start the year, very surprising. With the spread up to ALA -11.5, this is one of the more “telling” lines of the season. What has Alabama done this year to deserve laying 11.5 points against a one-loss SEC team? Nothing, and that exactly why I’m rolling with the Tide in this spot.
Alabama has played better of late, winning three straight games after a couple consecutive losses. To be fair, the Tide have had one of the toughest schedules to start the season in the country. They’ll be looking to stay perfect in conference play against an over-performing SC team that hasn’t beaten Bama in years. Fade the Gamecocks, and back the Tide to continue getting back on track with a blowout victory against South Carolina.
