TCU vs. Cincinnati Prediction
TCU has looked great so far this year. They are 13-3 and 2-1 in Big 12 play, beating no. 15 Oklahoma and no. 5 Houston, and lost to Kansas by only a bucket. This team is clicking on all cylinders right now ,and is a scary team to play at the moment. Not only has TCU been hot, but senior Emanuel Miller has been a big factor in this team's success. In the past four games, Miller is averaging 17.5 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 3.0 APG. This Horned Frogs squad is averaging 84 PPG, which is 21st in the nation. They're also shooting 48.9%, good for 24th-best in the country. This offense is efficient and dangerous. However, coming into Fifth Third Arena and getting a win is not easy.
Cincinnati is 12-4, yet 1-2 in conference play. The Bearcats are on a two game losing streak, and I do not see them losing a third in a row. Although this team has gotten off to a slow start, they are severally underrated. The Big 12 is tough, there are many good teams and tough matchups which seems like every game, and it is hard to win on the road. This Bearcats team beat a No. 20 team in BYU earlier this year, which is the type of game I see them playing today. I believe that big men Viktor Lakhin and Aziz Bandaogo will dominate the glass tonight, and guards Dan Skillings Jr. and Simas Lukosius will have big games scoring the rock and distributing the ball into the paint. Expect to see most of Cincinnati's points to come in the paint as they are much bigger and better around the rim. TCU also loves getting into the paint, where most of their points comes from, and that will be a struggle tonight for the Horned Frogs.
If Cincinnati can start off strong, get the crowd involved, and take care of the ball tonight, I think that they beat TCU, and beat them convincingly. Watch how well this Bearcat team dominates the rebounding category as they look to get opportunities for second chance points. This will be a fun game to watch as Wes Miller will have the squad ready to play and the environment will be rocking!
