Last weekend, Wyoming pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in all of sports history. Some are calling this a better comeback than the infamous “Miracle Minute” back in 2001. There’s no good way to say it: Colorado State’s loss in their last game was one of the worst blown leads in college basketball history.
Not only has CSU struggled in the month of January, but they have yet to cover a spread in their last five games. After an emotional and embarrassing loss to Wyoming, I’m willing to bet we see this Colorado State team change the narrative at home tonight.
It won’t be easy for the Rams… they are playing a team they haven’t beaten in nearly two years. If Colorado State is going to turn their season around, they are going to have to slay the best program in the Mountain West, the San Diego State Aztecs.
SDSU just beat Wyoming with ease… so why are we seeing CSU move from a -1 favorite to -2.5 on some books? Big bets are being placed on the Rams tonight. More than 60% of the bets and 90% of the handle is currently backing CSU to cover against the Aztecs tonight. They might be public, but those splits are sharp.
This will be an epic battle between two of the best players in the country in Jaedon LeDee (SDSU) and Isaiah Stevens (CSU). I’m putting my money on the latter, who is coming off some poor performances on the road. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from betting CBB over the last few years, it’s this: you don’t bet against Isaiah Stevens at home in primetime. Back the Rams to win this game, and completely turn their season around against a team who’s owned them for the last couple of years. This is Colorado State’s year.
