Let’s be honest, Thursday’s slate isn’t anything to write home about. That doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made. On a slate like this, you have to tread lightly. I don’t have many plays today, but I do really like this two-teamer I crafted up. Let’s get right into it…
College Basketball Parlay
UNC Wilmington vs. Charleston Prediction
The Cougars already lost to the Seahawks this season, only a few weeks ago. I wasn’t surprised by the result; I actually leaned UNC Wilmington in that spot as a short home favorite. After winning comfortably at home, the Seahawks are now an underdog as they head to Charleston for round two.
College of Charleston should be the favorite tonight. They have been one of the better home teams in the country under Pat Kelsey over the last couple of seasons. The Cougars are 8-1 at home this year. I’m willing to bet they get the revenge they’ve been looking for against this overrated UNC Wilmington team.
Let’s grab College of Charleston on the moneyline for the first play in this two-piece parlay. The Cougars are still one of the deepest teams in the CAA, and they’ll be looking to keep their second-place ranking in the CAA standings against a team that notoriously struggles on the road.
Oregon State vs. UCLA Prediction
This one is going to be a tough sell. Oregon State is coming off back-to-back upsets against Arizona and Arizona State, but they are getting 10.5 points on the spread against this 9-11 UCLA team? Something doesn’t seem right with this line…
UCLA hasn’t done anything to deserve being this heavy of a favorite, but the fact that they are tells me they are getting the win tonight. To be fair, the Bruins have been playing much better basketball in the new year. They might not be a tournament team, but they will surely be the more motivated team in this contest tonight.
Don’t be surprised if UCLA continues building momentum with a massive win against the red-hot Beavers. Besides Jordan Pope, this Oregon State team doesn’t have anyone who can create opportunities on the offensive-end of the floor.
UCLA’s defensive-minded squad already beat the Beavers once this year one the road. I’m willing to bet they end Oregon State’s “Cinderella” run, catching them sleeping after two massive wins. Fade the Beavers, and pair UCLA on the moneyline with College of Charleston. I’ll meet you at the cash counter…
