I’m willing to bet that we see the best version of Clemson that we’ve seen all season against the Tar Heels tonight. When these two teams faced off in January, the game was tied at halftime. Clemson wasn’t able to hold on, but I’m sure they haven’t forgotten about that blown opportunity.
Clemson did a great job of defensing this UNC team back in January. With the Tar Heels coming off a big win against their rival Duke, I wouldn’t be surprised if Clemson catches UNC sleeping tonight considering they’ve already beaten them this year. The Tar Heels might be more focused on their trip to Miami this weekend...
If Clemson doesn’t rip off some big wins soon, they aren’t going to even make the tournament. This game means much more to them than it does for the Tar Heels. RJ Davis and Armando Bacot have coasted throughout conference play up to this point. I’ll back the hungrier underdog tonight…
I loved that I saw out of Clemson’s defense the first time these two teams played. If they can bring that same effort to Chapel Hill, not only will the Tigers cover on the spread, but they will win outright. Fade the Tar Heels who have been near perfect on the season in conference play; anyone who follows the ACC knows that their legacy run simply can’t last.
