The Auburn Tigers host the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday. Can Carson Beck and Georgia take down Auburn? Jason Radowitz shares his Georgia vs. Auburn prediction and pick.
ANALYSIS

Georgia vs. Auburn Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Carson Beck, Georgia Take Down Auburn?

The Georgia Bulldogs don't have a demanding schedule this year. But it's not entirely their fault.

The Bulldogs play in the SEC and take on teams like South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn.

It's just that these teams, excluding Tennessee, have fallen off over the last couple of seasons. They're not going to be competitive against Georgia any time soon.

That said, Georgia will take on an Auburn team that couldn't find any offense against Texas A&M last weekend.

So, will Auburn score a point in Saturday's SEC showdown?

Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Saturday's game between the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Auburn Tigers.

Georgia vs. Auburn Prediction

The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the most elite teams in the country. They're ranked No. 1, but that's ultimately because the Bulldogs haven't played much competition up to this point.

Georgia will be beatable this year. However, it's unlikely a team like Auburn will accomplish the upset.

The Bulldogs have averaged nearly 500 yards of offense and have held teams to 282.3 yards per game on defense. The Bulldogs aren't what they used to be.

Georgia allowed 21 points to UAB last weekend and trailed South Carolina through the first half the weekend before UAB. That's 35 points allowed in the previous two weeks.

However, Auburn is more offensively challenged than those two teams.

Auburn scored ten points against Texas A&M and only 14 against California in their two games against Power-5 opponents. That's what you'll see against Georgia.

The Tigers only got 561 yards from Payton Thorne in the passing game. He's also thrown four touchdowns and three interceptions in four games. Auburn even had to turn to Robby Ashford last weekend when Thorne wasn't working out.

Meanwhile, the run game has earned almost 200 yards. But they're going up against a Georgia defense that has held teams to 87 yards on the ground this season.

Georgia's pass rush could be better. But it'll likely do a better job against an Auburn pass protection unit that is average at best.

On the other hand, Carson Beck will look to lead Georgia at quarterback. He's thrown six touchdowns and has limited interceptions to just one this season. Beck hasn't been Stetson Bennett-good. But he's been good enough, especially with the defense playing solidly.

In the run game, Daijuan Edwards has rushed for nearly six yards a carry on 32 carries. Plus, Georgia still has Brock Bowers at tight end. He's caught 22 balls in four games for over 250 yards.

Auburn's secondary has been good. But they're banged up and forced to play freshman and younger players. That won't work out against Georgia, especially when Beck has all the time in the world in the pocket.

I'll take Georgia to earn the cover in a blowout win for the Bulldogs.
