App State has zero pressure after starting the season 3-4. Everyone ruled App State out, but this team isn’t playing like they are dead. They’ve played their best football of the season over their last three games, including a 42-14 blowout at Georgia State last week. I wouldn’t want to play this App State team right now…
This is a horrid matchup for JMU, who has a decent rush defense but horrid pass defense. Joey Aguilar, App State’s starting QB, has improved throughout the season. He looked great against Georgia State last week, a team that has a comparable defense to the Dukes where they can’t stop the pass at all. Don’t be surprised if Aguilar follows up his best game of the season with another gem against this suspect JMU secondary.
