5 minOle Miss vs. Mississippi State Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Bulldogs Upset Jaxson Dart, Rebels in Egg Bowl?
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are looking to become bowl-eligible on Thanksgiving night. The Bulldogs have gone a disappointing 5-6 in their first year with Zach Arnett.
Things got so bad early that Mississippi State fired Arnett without even allowing him to finish one season with the Bulldogs. Greg Knox is currently the interim head coach.
Knox has the chance to coach the Bulldogs into bowl eligibility. Although things have been bad, the Bulldogs still have a win against Arkansas and four other non-conference wins on the season.
These matchups between Ole Miss and Mississippi State are always rowdy. The Bulldogs will still have a packed house and crowd, cheering on an upset against Ole Miss.

Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State Prediction
The Ole Miss Rebels will look for their tenth win of the season against Mississippi State in a huge rivalry game on the road.
This Thanksgiving night tradition between these two teams is always enjoyable. However, Mississippi State has taken a step backward.
The Bulldogs have scored only 21.4 points per game but have allowed 28.2 points this season. The offense has a notable quarterback in Will Rogers. But they've only earned 166.9 yards in the air this year.
The offense has struggled to score at a consistent level. They don't have great receivers, and the offensive line has not held up this year. Meanwhile, the run game has had success. But the 142.7 yards per game on the ground doesn't match Ole Miss on the ground.
Ole Miss has earned 181 yards, with Quinshon Judkins needing just 67 yards on the ground to achieve another 1,000 yards season on the ground. Judkins has scored 14 rushing touchdowns on 209 carries. He's been a workhorse for Ole Miss this season.
With Mississippi State allowing 143.5 yards per game, Ole Miss should have success running the football.
Meanwhile, the Ole Miss quarterback was injured two weeks ago against Georgia. But he still played last weekend against UL Monroe. The junior quarterback threw for 310 yards with a 77.4% completion rate. He looked healthy and performed at a high level.
The Bulldogs haven't been awful defensively. But the pass rush will rarely get to the quarterback in time. It's an inconsistent group. Jaxson Dart should have time in the pocket to make big plays down the field against Mississippi State.
The run game won't struggle either.
Let's take Ole Miss at -11. The Bulldogs will come prepared, but they'll be outmatched in the second half.
