After a couple weeks of hilariously named Bowl Games, we’ve finally reached the point of the Bowl season where we’ve got some of the best teams in the country facing off. There are two games in particular that caught my eye on Friday and Saturday, and I’m looking to throw a two-team parlay together…
College Football Bowl Parlay Picks
Missouri vs Ohio State Prediction
On Friday night, the Missouri Tigers face off against the formidable Ohio State Buckeyes at Jerry’s World. The spread has slowly crept towards Ohio State all day, with the Buckeyes up to -5.5 on most books. This late steam is a great sign for Buckeyes bettors, and it doesn’t hurt that a few starters announced late that they will be playing in the Cotton Bowl.
It’s surprising to see a backup QB getting steamed up on the spread. Devin Brown will be making his first start for Ohio State, but he is more than capable of producing both through the air and on the ground. The public is slamming Missouri with bets, and a public dog is not something you want to be betting on.
Everyone is counting the Buckeyes out, saying this is Missouri’s “Super Bowl,” but I’m sure Ryan Day will be looking to cement his job security for the coming years. Bet the Buckeyes on the moneyline as the first leg of this parlay.
Auburn vs Maryland Prediction
The Terps had quite the explosive offense this season, but with their star QB Taulia Tagovailoa sitting out for the Music City Bowl, it’s going to be tough for Maryland to get anything going on offense against an improving Auburn defense. Payton Thorne and the Tigers will have a huge advantage in this contest, hence why the spread has moved from AUB -2 to AUB -6.5 on most books.
I no longer want to play Auburn on the spread, but I do feel confident in them winning this game. Thorne will be dominant both through the air and especially on the ground. He’s found more success running the football of late, and Maryland has given up nearly 175 yards per game on the ground in their last three games on average.
Pair Auburn on the moneyline with Ohio State on Friday night. Hugh Freeze will be looking to finish the year strong with his young team, and Maryland will struggle without Tua’s brother under center. This parlay pays out close to even; I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
