This encapsulates Harbaugh's struggles in bowl games perfectly, as Michigan has lost six straight bowl games under Harbaugh. However, this Michigan team has been extremely dominant this season, and this may be the best chance they have at a championship this year. Part of their performance today relies on running back Blake Corum.

Alabama vs. Michigan Prediction
Senior running back Blake Corum finished second in the Big Ten with 1,028 rushing yards and is the workhorse back for the Wolverines. Corum averaged 4.7 yards per carry and will get lots of volume today against Alabama. Michigan is 17th in rush play percentage in the nation and will look to control the clock by keeping the clock moving with lots of hand-offs to Corum. This has been their recipe in the biggest games this season.
Against Penn State, Corum got 26 total carries and finished with 145 yards and two touchdowns. Two games later, in the biggest game of the season against Ohio State, Corum had 88 yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns as well. He has been the focal point of this offense in their biggest games this season, and against a team like Bama, they will have to get a ground game going to have any chance.
The total is low in this game because both teams are defensive-minded and both have suspect quarterbacks, even if Jalen Milroe has looked better down the later stretch of the season. McCarthy has been hit or miss, and he hasn't thrown for over 200 yards in the last four games. This Bama secondary will be all over Michigan, so getting Corum going on the ground and controlling time of possession will be key for Michigan, as it has in their other big games this year. Corum is set at 78.5 rushing yards because this is a good Alabama defense, but he should easily get 20+ carries in this game, in which case hitting 80 yards seems likely.
