Alabama vs. Michigan Prediction
Alabama couldn’t be more of a public dog. It’s not really surprising to see the greatest football program we’ve ever seen getting more than 70% of the bets on the moneyline (one DraftKings), but this might be the most-disrespected one seed in CFB history. Nobody believes in or wants the Wolverines to win this football game; that’s the team I want my money on.
The narrative has been that J.J. McCarthy can’t throw, but that’s not a fair assumption. McCarthy hasn’t really needed to throw the football much, because Michigan’s defense has been so dominant and their rushing attack is one of the best in the country.
Speaking of Michigan’s elite rushing attack, Blake Corum has a prime matchup against a defense that struggles to defend the run on the outside. Corum had 1,000 rushing yards in his senior season. He has a great matchup to carve up this susceptible Bama rush defense on Monday night.
It’s been a weird year for the Michigan Wolverines. After losing to TCU in the semifinals last season, nobody thinks they are any good this year and Coach Harbaugh was suspended for an apparent cheating scandal. Nobody believes in or wants to bet on this team, but they keep on winning. Back Michigan one more time to beat Coach Saban and Bama when the public least expects it.
